FAQs

1. What age are Mommy & Minis products for?

Our sensory jars and play dough sets are designed for kids ages 3 and up.

  • Children under 3 should always be supervised, as small parts can be a choking hazard.
  • Sensory play is most engaging for toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary ages (3–8), but we’ve seen older kids and adults enjoy them too!

2. How do I care for my play dough?

  • Store play dough in the airtight container provided to keep it fresh.
  • If it starts to dry out, add a drop of water or a touch of vegetable oil and knead.
  • Keep play dough away from carpets, fabric, and heat to extend its life.

3. How long will my sensory play dough stay fresh?

  • Our homemade play dough lasts 2–3 months with proper care.
  • Sensory jars are long-lasting, but we recommend shaking and checking them occasionally to keep the contents moving freely.

4. Are Mommy & Minis products safe for kids with allergies?

  • Our play dough contains flour, salt, cream of tartar, oil, and food coloring, and may contain coconut oil.
  • Products are made in a home kitchen and may contain traces of common allergens like wheat, nuts, dairy, or soy.
  • If your child has severe allergies, please supervise carefully or avoid use.

5. Are sensory jars and play dough taste-safe?

  • Our play dough is non-toxic but not meant for eating.
  • Sensory jars contain small parts, liquid, and glitter—they are not edible.
  • Always supervise children during play.

6. What comes in my sensory jar or play dough in kit?

Each kit or jar is unique and may include:

  • Homemade play dough (in bright or themed colors)
  • Themed trinkets or figurines
  • Glitter, beads, or sensory fillers (non-toxic)
  • A mix of textures for imaginative, hands-on play

7. Any safety or content warnings I should know?

  • Choking hazard: Small parts, not for children under 3.
  • Adult supervision recommended at all times.
  • Sensory jars are sealed—do not open the liquid contents.
  • Play dough and jars should be used on hard surfaces for easier cleanup.
