How Mommy and Minis Was Born
Share

Our home is full of love, laughter, craft supplies, and just the right amount of beautiful chaos. Life as a military family keeps us on our toes—Dad is a proud veteran, I’m active duty, and our days are a mix of schedules, surprises, and sweet moments together. Through it all, we count our blessings every day.
Crafting has always been our happy place. My two “mini-mes,” Sophie and Ellie, are my little helpers and budding entrepreneurs. They love diving into projects with me, whether it’s picking colors, sprinkling glitter, or testing our newest creations. These moments are where memories are made—just us, creating and laughing together.
Mommy & Minis really began with a single project: Bluey sensory jars as party favors for Sebastian’s birthday. I wanted something unique and hands-on for the kids to enjoy, and these jars turned out to be the highlight of the day. I’m not kidding when I say the kids were captivated for hours—no screens, just pure, imaginative play. They shook, swirled, and explored, creating little stories with their jars and losing themselves in the magic.
That’s when it clicked for me:
- Sensory play is powerful and enriching.
- Kids thrive on screen-free, hands-on fun.
- And we could share these magical moments with other families too.
Mommy & Minis grew out of those little jars and a big dream: to create fun, screen-free activities that bring families together. Every sensory jar and playdough set we make is filled with love, inspired by the simple joy of crafting with my girls.
For us, it’s more than a business—it’s family. It’s Sophie and Ellie learning, exploring, and growing as “mini makers.” It’s sharing a piece of our beautiful, busy, blessed life with other families who want the same thing: a little more magic in their day.
